Deciding To Self-Publish (Or Jumping Without A Net)
I never thought I would do it.
I always thought that I would stick with a traditional publishing track, that I would master the query letter, dazzle agents, impress publishers and actually see stacks of books at my local Borders.
Late this summer, however, I decided to take the plunge and self-publish my first book, Falling For Your Madness, a romantic comedy about chivalry, friends, sweethearts, boundaries and the power of words. I’m wrapping up the final touches on the cover art, editing and marketing plans right now. The actual release date, for the digital version only, will hopefully be in the next month, assuming that there aren’t any major life changes in my family. (You never know around here.)
This is very exciting. I’m learning a lot. I’m half scared to death. I can’t wait for the general public to read, review and recommend my book.
This blog will be the first place I show the final cover version, offer giveaways, and all that other promotion stuff. So, stay tuned!
